Holi Milan with Madhuram Children

Shehjaar Haridwar and Madhuram,an NGO working for the education of poor family children organized a Holi milan program.

It was a wonderful experience of growing intergenerational bonding of experienced seniors of Shehjaar and young children of Madhuram.

The NGO is run by two sisters Ritu and Deepa along with their mother Sushila ji.The facility offered by Madhuram is a big hall having sitting capacity of around 60 persons and stage with sound amplifying facility. The location advantage being nearby Haridwar Greens society.

The program started with Ganesh Vandana by Sh SB Nautiyal and Mrs Surekha Palgay.

A brief religious story behind the Holi festival was narrated by the Chairperson of Madhuram – Ritu Tomar ji for the knowledge of children.

Mr Suresh Palgay read out the paper on the need of Shehjaar and its activities.

Mr M K Raina addressing the children narrated his own example of how to bring oneself out of a difficult and scarcity situation through dedication and sincere efforts. They can go as far as they think to make their life a happy living.

Mr. Sarvesh Gupta chief guest blessed the children and wished the members ‘Happy Holi’

Some of the other lady members presented beautiful songs. The group of ISKCON Haridwar members made the atmosphere filled with vibrating melody of ‘Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare’. Children and elders danced on the floor while flower petals were showered on them.

The program ended with the prasadam of Puri-Bhaji and holi special Gujia.
